Triple Knot Woven Belt Marine


Íkiak, which means knot in the Shuar language. Indigenous cultures use many varieties of knots in their different traditions, labors, and daily life. Adjusts to 40" waist by moving the knots on the side straps

Developed from "fajas", a garment used by the Andeans as a decorative element symbolizing status, power, mythical or medicinal roles, these woven belts are fabulous and give back.  Handwoven by artisans for the Otavolo community in Ecuador.  Each belt donates 1 lunch for 1 child for 1 month.  The designer is also a proud member of @FashionMakesChanges movement dedicated to supporting women in education around the globe.
