Niece to the last Emperor of Austria and closely related to the royal houses of Europe, Sophie was born in Paris and educated in England. After studying interior design at the prestigious Ecole Camondo in Paris, she accepted a position at the office of the iconic David Hicks. While in Paris, she made the acquaintance of many stellar fashion figures, notably Valentino, Ungaro, Courrèges, Rochas and Versace. Her experience and friendship with these designers was inspiring, and it enhanced her enduring talent for turning craftsmanship into art. She supports a variety of charities including SOS Children’s Village, a cause close to her Austrian grandmother's heart.
